An Exhibition of 40 photographs selected from a collection of hundreds of images of the works of refurbishment of the Church of Clérigos. They are autonomous images, passionately chosen by their author Luís Ferreira Alves. But they are also images that bear witness to the rebirth of a place and a return to the splendour of the art of Nasoni.

Luís Ferreira Alves Biography
Luís Ferreira Alves was born in Valadares, Vila Nova de Gaia, in 1938. An active member of the Cineclube do Porto (Proto film club), in the fifties, he was also co-founder of the Reduced Format and Experiential Cinema section, he was part of the team that made the documentary "Auto da Floripes".
In the early eighties, he began his photographic activity, as an amateur, worthy of mention is his collaboration with Gabriela Ribeiro in an exhibition on the independent theatre called "Fotografia de Cena" in Árvore (an Art´s school) where he also exhibited a large series of images under the theme of Porto´s urban destruction - "Em busca da cor perdida" (in search of the lost colour).
He specialized in photography of architecture, heritage and territory, having been published regularly in magazines from all over the world. He collaborated closely with architects of the so-called School of Porto.
He is a director of architectural and cultural videos, he has dozens of books edited and has held numerous exhibitions, some of them in co-authorship, in and out the country.
On October 8th 2013, in Lisbon, he was given the title of Honorary Member of the Order of Architects.
In July 2015 he was awarded by the Câmara Municipal do Porto (Porto Town Hall) with the Municipal Medal of Merit - Gold class.
