Integrated into the release of the book "The 14 works of Mercy", this photographic exhibition by Luís Barbosa and Miguel Nogueira, will be featured on the first floor of the Gallery of Benefactors.
Luís Barbosa
Luís Barbosa (Porto, 1975) is a trainer in photography at IPF (Portuguese Institute of photography), from where he graduated (2002-2004). Since 2008, he has been documenting cultural activities and festivals in Porto and Northern Portugal, namely, Futureplaces, Nomadic, Manobras no Porto, Festival do Norte. He has had individual and collective exhibitions in Portugal, Slovakia and Lithuania. He published in Le Journal de la photographie, Orion Magazine, WIP Magazine and Aorta Magazine. He collaborates as a freelancer at Invision Images, Onimage and Win-Image.
Miguel Barbosa
Miguel Nogueira (Porto, 1974) attended engineering and later graduated from the Portuguese Photography Institute of Porto. Photojournalism is your area of choice, having collaborated with the newspaper Público. He is currently the editor of photography at Porto City Hall. He has held several solo exhibitions and has had several published works.
The 14 Works of Mercy
Corporal Works:
Feed the hungry and the poor;
Give drink to the thirsty;
Cover the naked;
Give shelter for pilgrims and poor;
Visit the sick;
Visit the imprisoned

Spiritual Works:
Give good advice;
Instruct the ignorant;
Correct with charety those who err;
Comfort the sorrowful

Forgive all insults;
Suffer with patience the weaknesses of the next

Pray for the living and the dead
