Colégio do Barão de Nova Sintra
The Colégio do Barão de Nova Sintra, founded in 1863, welcomes children and young people, promoting their full and constructive development.
In addition to ensuring a healthy physical growth and positive academic performance of children, it promotes the acquisition of personal and social skills and promotes self-esteem in order to reduce risk factors and maximize protective factors of children's young people's lives.
Currently, the Colégio do Barão de Nova Sintra integrates the facets of Home for Children and Youth and Free Time Activities Centre.
There is an emphasis of contributes form the community in order to deconstruct myths often associated with institutionalized minors, as well as to promote integration opportunities in various areas of society.
